Heart and Stroke Management: A Discussion on the Rapidly Changing Healthcare Landscape & the Need for Policy Support
WSO President Prof Michael Brainin will be one of the featured paneliists at the the launch webast of the new research report from The Economist Intelligence Unit on stroke prevention in Europe. The report will officially launch on World Stroke Day October 29th, with a a press statement, and will be followed by a webcast for EU policymakers, researchers, advocacy organizations and media, on November 4th. The overall event discussion will focus on the importance of stroke and stroke prevention, while highlighting the key findings of the report.
The event will feature Aldo Patriciello, MEP Italy, European People’s Party, along with speakers from the EIU and advocacy organizations, including Stroke Alliance for Europe, Atrial Fibrillation Association / Arrhythmia Alliance, World Heart Federation, World Stroke Organization and European Stroke Organization. The presenters will speak to the importance of stroke prevention, the key findings of this report and how the results tie into the rapidly changing healthcare landscape. In addition, the event will feature Tamsin Rose, Senior Fellow for Health, Friends of Europe, as the moderator.
