While we get ready to launch the website, you can help us get in shape! We need input and stories about sport and stroke from our community and beyond. We need members to think innovatively how to use sport and physical activity to drive maximum awareness of stroke online and in the streets where you live. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Help us to identify our #GreaterThan champion stories for the campaign website.Share details of people with a sport and stroke story to tell with the campaign team so we can feature them on the campaign website and on social.
- Reach out to sports teams in your locality, talk to them about how they could be part of the #GreaterThan campaign, from sharing World Stroke Day campaign videos on social media on World Stroke Day, to supporting the Team #GreaterThan challenge by creating a local team and promoting fan sign-up.
- Contact national sports bodies and ask if they will share a message in their newsletters, social media channels etc on World Stroke Day.
- Organize sports stadium light-ups for World Stroke Day in our signature campaign colour of blue.
- Identify sports influencers and reach out to them to ask if they would help us build awareness of stroke by getting behind the Team #GreaterThan call to action – sign up to the global activity challenge.
- Identify and share stories of physical activity and stroke recovery in your community and share them on social.
- Plan a physical activity event for World Stroke Day and, when our website goes live set up your event team on the website and encourage your participants to register to be part of Team #GreaterThan.
We're looking forward to sharing campaign resources with members soon. In the meantime, if you would like to share a story that might make a great feature on the website, let us know your plans, become a Team #GreaterThan local lead, or explore ideas with the campaign team, please contact awiseman@world-stroke.org
