The recent 4th WSO Global Stroke Alliance-Latin America conference, held in Bogotá in collaboration with SIECV and IASO, brought together representatives from 12 Ministries of Health, including three Ministers and three Deputy Ministers, alongside leading regional and global stroke experts. The event served as a platform to review progress and establish priorities for implementing quality stroke care across the region.
During the two-day event, participating countries shared updates on their national stroke care programs, including advancements in prevention, acute stroke care, rehabilitation, and the contributions of stroke support organizations. A highlight of the conference was the presentation of Colombia's newly launched National Stroke Plan, which demonstrated the transformative potential of commitment and collaboration in healthcare.

Additionally, the WSO Angels Awards Ceremony honoured the achievements of 272 hospitals and 37 emergency medical services teams worldwide for their excellence in stroke
