The World Stroke Organisation is committed to reduce the global burden of stroke through prevention, treatment and long-term care. We aim to support our members to engage in research that works towards these goals.
In 2021 WSO has committed to seed fund three pilot research projects to a maximum value of US$ 20,000 each. Projects will start in 2022 and last for a maximum period of 12 months. The funding scheme is intended to pump prime projects with a potential for a longer-term perspective.
Preference will be given to projects that align with the WSO core goals. Special consideration will be given to research led by early career researchers and to research regarding stroke care and delivery in low- and middle-income countries. Applicants must be members of the WSO at the time of application.
Application will be via a standard form that can be found below.
Submission deadline is 20 August.
All submissions will be evaluated initially by the WSO Research Committee. Funding decisions will be made by the WSO Excecutive board.
To submit your completed application, send to: admin@world-stroke.org by 20 August the latest.
