I would like to remind all WSO members that the next World Stroke Congress (WSC) will take place on October 28-29 to coincide with World Stroke Day. This will mark the beginning of the WSC as an annual meeting and will take place virtually. Many sessions will have a live component online as we did for the WSO/ESO conference last fall. An exciting and comprehensive program is being put together by the Scientific Program Committee that will include a wide range of topics relevant to all. The abstract submission site is now open. I encourage all WSO members to register for the WSC and to submit an abstract. In 2022, we are planning the next WSC and it will be an in-person meeting in Singapore with perhaps some online components.
World Stroke Day will take place on October 29th and a wide range of activities are in the planning stages. I encourage all of you to participate in the activities that will happen in your home country.
Marc Fisher,
President of the World Stroke Organization
Achieving our vision of a life free from stroke is a task that WSO cannot achieve alone. We are committed to building our partnerships at the global, regional and national level to scale up and deliver improvements in prevention, treatment and support to reduce the burden of stroke.
