A few days before the World Stroke Congress 2023 we are waiting for you with an exciting program joining the best of science, WSO Awards, teaching courses, implementation meetings, stroke support organization meetings, the recognition of WSO Certified Stroke Centers and more.
A special moment will be the lauch of the WSO – Lancet Commission paper: “Pragmatic solutions to reduce the global burden of stroke”, a very important tool for the policy makers and other stake holders to implement surveillance, prevention, acute care and rehabilitation worldwide. I am sure that will be a landmark to advise governments on how to translate the evidence into practice.
Other important point will be the presentation of the Global Declaration on Stroke, launched in the Global Stroke Alliance in New Delhi, India on September 08, 2023, with 15 recommendations that should be implemented to decrease the burden of stroke, as a check list to the countries. The participants of the WSC2023 will have the opportunity to sign the declaration, supporting the recommendations.
