World Stroke Organization launches webinar series for stroke professionals.
In an effort to offer more educational opportunities for WSO members, the World Stroke Academy (WSA) is starting a programme of free educational webinars. The timing is very fortuitous in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic which has brought an end to medical education meetings around the globe. So 'necessity is the mother of invention' and we are delighted to be able to support the global network of stroke clinical and research professionals with these webinars.
The first in the series is “How to do a systematic review” on March 24 at 5:00 PM CET with Dr Alex Pollock, Senior Research Fellow at Glasgow Caledonian University and Associate Editor of the Cochrane Stroke Group as speaker. Following the presentation there will be a live discussion with stroke expert and WSA Lead Commissioning Editor Prof Peter Sandercock. Webinar attendees are also encouraged to ask questions in the Q&A session that follows the talk.
The webinar is free and open to everybody interested in stroke research and evidence-based stroke medicine. The next in the series will be entitled ‘Developing stroke recovery and rehab interventions, some of the things we learned from the Stroke Rehabilitation Research Roundtable’ on Tuesday March 31st at 18.00 Melbourne time by Professor Julie Bernhardt, the Florey Institute, Melbourne. The WSO Education Committee will be working with the WSA to organise future webinars.
Make sure to register today and share this information among your colleagues and students: http://bit.ly/WSAwebinar .
If you are unable to attend the live webinars, we will record them and make them available on the WSA platform where you will find lots of free interactive educational modules and webcasts on stroke https://world-stroke-academy.org/.
