Social media has become an integral part of modern life and is crucial for communication and networking. It has changed how we interact and share information, allowing us to connect with people around the world in ways that were never before possible. Undeniably, its impact will only continue to grow. The WSO sees social media as a powerful tool for raising awareness and creating momentum around important issues, mobilizing support for causes, and trying to create change at scale.
The WSO uses the following social media channels Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. We created the WSO LinkedIn page about 1,5 years ago starting with zero followers and limited resources to manage this new channel. By February 2023, we were able to grow to a mature channel with over 3000 followers. We reached this number quickly, and in doing so, we were able to create a real stroke care community.

Growing a social media community can be a challenging task, but there are several strategies we used to increase engagement and attract new followers:
