The training fellow should commit to a minimum of 1 year, ideally 2 years of formal, uninterrupted neurointerventional training with extensive hands-on experience.
The application process includes approval from the Fellowship Board and the accepting training facility after an interview process. Submitting an application does not secure a fellowship training position. A fee of 20.00 dollars should be submitted along with the application. The number of fellowship positions are variable and will be announced at the beginning of every year.
This endovascular fellowship program is best suited for physicians:
Currently living and working in an underserved LTMIC.
With prior formal training in an accredited neurology, neurosurgery, or radiology programs.
Holding a valid license to practice medicine in their respective countries.
Holding a valid license or in the process to obtaining a license to practice medicine in the training country (i.e. title validation).
Able to complete their migratory paperwork through the assigned consulate, and who hold updated and valid documentation to support their subspecialty training status in another country.
With a commitment to return to their country of origin, upon their return.
