In 2020 the WSO Research Committee is partnering with the European Stroke Organisation (ESO) and the Global Alliance of Independent Networks focused on Stroke trials (GAINS) to run the second Early Career training day ahead of the European Stroke Organisation and World Stroke Organization Conference in Vienna.
In the coming months we will be inviting early career researchers interested in developing skills in multi-site clinical trials and cohorts to register for this meeting. Please note that ‘Early Career’ is defined as being within ten years of appointment to an academic or research position. Career disruptions will be taken into consideration.
SAVE THE DATE: On the 3rd and 4th of December 2021, the third edition of the Early Career Development Workshop will take place. More information is available HERE >>

The Global Alliance of Independent Networks focused on Stroke trials (GAINS)/World Stroke Organization Early Career Investigators Workshop was held October 16, 2018. This was a full day clinical trials training day for emerging investigators with the goal to inspire the next generation of stroke clinical trialists. 120 participants attended the event from 22 countries representing all continents. This workshop was funded through the Canadian Stroke Trials for Optimized Results collaboration (CaSTOR), a joint initiative of the Canadian Stroke Consortium (CSC) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery (CPSR) made possible by a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
