This toolkit has been developed with input from our SSO members and we hope that wherever you are on your SSO journey that you find some of the information, resources and insights in the toolkit helpful. This toolkit is the ‘core’ resource offering guidance on developing and growing an SSO. It is intended to support key aspects of developing an organization: people, purpose, management and impact. We will follow this core resource with a suite of manuals that will delve deeper into topics including campaigning and advocacy and life after stroke issues.
This guide provides a lay summary of clinical evidence for managing the risk of stroke, and is intended to assist SSOs in their non-medical interventions to help support stroke survivors to manage risk of a further stroke.
The Global Stroke Bill of Rights is an important priority for the World Stroke Organization. These rights identify the aspects of care that are important for ALL stroke survivors and caregivers from across the world. This toolkit is designed to help stroke and patient organizations share and use the Global Stroke Bill of Rights.
