World Stroke Campaign Awards recognize key achievements in raising awareness of the World Stroke Day campaign themes and messages. In addition to celebrating the work of our members, Campaign Awards are also a way to identify and share good practice and innovation in stroke awareness campaigning around the world.
Following World Stroke Day each year we open our awards for submissions and nominations. WE welcome submissions and nominations for awards in each of the categories listed below. Award winners are featured here, on social media channels, in the WSO Annual Report and receive free annual membership of the World Stroke Organization and free registration for the award recipeint at the World Stroke Congress.
This award category celebrates individuals whose commitment, creativity and achievement have raised awareness of the key theme of World Stroke Day.
Apply for an awardStroke is on the rise globally with low and middle-income countries making up an increasing proportion of the global stroke burden. Low public awareness of stroke prevention, issues with healthcare system capacity and limited financial resources pose particular challenges to campaigns in these countries. We want to recognize the dedication and impact organizations in these countries have made to overcoming barriers and raising awareness of stroke prevention treatment and care issues among the public, healthcare professionals and policy makers.
Apply for an awardWith high stroke prevalence, competition for public attention and resources - as well as increasing demands for information, support and services -high-income countries have their own challenges when World Stroke Day comes around. We want to recognize the work of organizations in these countries to raise awareness of stroke as a national and global issue.
