I was born in 1990 in a city in central Italy and am currently working as a Neurointerventional Radiologist in Rome.
In the past, I served as a sailing coach and was a member of the Italian YouthSailing Team.
Education & Training:
I earned my medical degree in 2015, followed by a residency in Radiology in 2020, both from the “Sapienza” University of Rome. I completed three international fellowships in London, Berlin, and Strasbourg. Additionally, I hold two master's degrees: one in Vascular Neurointerventional Radiology and another in the Management of Acute Neurological Patients from Sacred Heart Catholic University.
Research Areas:
My primary research focus is on the acute treatment of ischemic stroke, particularly through mechanical thrombectomy. I am also dedicated to public health and systematic reviews, with numerous publications in these areas.
Awards:
Excellent Graduate in Medicine, “Sapienza” University of Rome. Professional Experience: I have been a consultant in Neurointerventional Radiology since 2020. I am an active member of several professional organizations, including the ESO, WSO, ASNR, and SIRM. I serve on the Health Economics Working Group at ESO and collaborate with the ANGELS Initiative, particularly focusing on Kazakhstan. Since 2023, I have been a Habilitated Associate Professor in Diagnostic
Imaging, Radiotherapy, and Neuroradiology. I also served as an Associate Editor for The Neuroradiology Journal.
Publications:I have authored over 50 publications in Q1 journals, with an H-index of 12.
Personal Life:
I am a happy husband and proud father of one daughter. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and playing basketball.
