Leonardo M Vedolin, M.D., PhD is the medical leader (CMO) of the diagnostic and hospital business of Dasa. In this role, Vedolin provides oversight for the medical affairs, quality initiatives, innovation and clinical operations related to the 900 PSCs and 15 hospitais of DASA’s network. Also, he has a leadership role in the production and operations of clinical labs, imaging centers, genetic and pathology facilities in Latin America.
Previously, Vedolin was executive director of imaging and pathology, where he was responsible for Dasa´s full range of clinical operations and innovations such as Artificial Intelligence Lab (dasAInova), Command Center (NOC) and Open Innovation (CuboHealth) strategies. Prior to that, Vedolin served as imaging head of Hospital Moinhos de Vento and Hospital de Clinicas, Porto Alegre, Brazil. In his academic work, he was Professor of Medicine at UFRGS and focus his scientific and educational career on application of conventional and advanced neuroimaging techniques to understand neurogenetics disorders.
Vedolin received his M.D from PUCRS, MsC from UFRJ e PhD from UFRGS. During his career he had the opportunity to study as research fellow at Mt Sinai Medical Center in NY, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and University of California in San Francisco
